My name is Kathy Austin.  I grew up in Del City and graduated WAY BACK in 1976.  My parents still live in the house they bought when I was 2 years old!

I attended Rose State College and then OU and graduated in 1985.  I taught one year at Tinker Elementary before coming to IME in 1986.  I taught 3^rd grade one year and have been teaching 2^nd grade for 21 years.

My husband Gary and I have two children.  Our daughter Rachel is a special education teacher.  She has a 3 year-old daughter named Kirby.  Our son Greg works for Ozarka Water.  He has a 10 year-old son named Tyler, a 3 year-old daughter named Avery and a 2 month-old daughter named Kylee.  Needless to say our life is quite exciting!

When I have time for hobbies, I enjoy reading, making fleece blankets for my grandkids and playing handbells in my church choir and an OKC Community Choir.
