I graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from Central State University in 1990.  After graduation, I taught 5^th grade and 3^rd grade for three years in Oklahoma City.  During those three years, I earned my Masters Degree in Reading and received my Reading Specialist Certification and my Early Childhood Certification from the University of Central Oklahoma.

 I started working in the Choctaw schools in 1994 as the Reading Specialist, were I have worked at CHS, CJHS, JGI and IME.  I have taught reading to students in grades ranging from Kindergarten through High School.  I joined the staff at IME in 1995, as one of the Reading Specialists. I enjoyed teaching first grade from 1999 until 2006, when I returned to the Reading Program at our school.

My husband Gary and I have 2 wonderful daughters, Stephanie, who attends college at the University of Central Oklahoma, and LeeAnn, who attends Jones High School. In my spare time I enjoy shopping, reading and spending time with my family.
