Linda Mitchell

I graduated from high school a long time ago from the very small town of Roosevelt, Oklahoma.  There were twenty in my graduating class.  I began work directly out of high school for the federal government at Tinker AFB.  Eventually our office moved downtown and became a part of the Office of Personnel Management.  I spent over 10 years employed by the government.

I obtained my bachelor's and master's degree graduating with honors from the University of Central Oklahoma.  I began teaching first grade in 1980 at Indian Meridian Elementary.  Six years later I graduated to second grade where I taught another 17 years.  I retired in 2003 and was retired for 3 years.  I returned in 2006 as a full time classroom teacher again teaching second grade.  I am now enjoying another graduation.  This year I am teaching third grade and enjoy it very much.

I have two daughters and three grandchildren living in Texas.  My granddaughter, Gabby is in seventh grade; Christian is in fifth grade and the youngest, Brody, is three.

It has been my privilege to have spent my entire teaching career at Indian Meridian.  I have been blessed to have worked with wonderful people during that time and have watched so many children learn and grow.
