My name is Shanna Keiffer, and I teach 4th grade at JGI.
I was born in Oklahoma City and attended elementary school in Del City. In 1986 my family moved to Choctaw where I began Jr. High School. I am a proud graduate of Choctaw High School class of 1992.
I attended college at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma. I obtained my degree in elementary education in 1996. After graduation, I moved back to Oklahoma City and began my teaching career with the Crooked Oak Public Schools. I enjoyed eight rewarding years with that district.
During the 2003 school year, I achieved National Board Certification. The process was very rewarding, and I truly believe this endeavor allowed me to grow as an educator.
I met my wonderful husband, Steve, on a blind date, and we have been inseparable since. I also have a stepson, Adam. We enjoy attending sporting events ,fishing and riding bikes. We also spend a lot of time with our family, friends and church groups.
Our class motto is SUCCESS, and my goal is for every student to realize they have the opportunity and potential to reach their dreams!
