I graduated from Altus High School in Southwest Oklahoma. I was in the top 10% of my graduating class. I attended college at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond. I am certified to teach Health and Physical Education in grades K through 12.
This is my 17th year to teach. I taught for 3 years at the American School in Geilenkirchen, Germany. I taught Physical Education for 2 years and regular 6th grade for 1 year while in Germany. I taught PE for 8 years at Westfall Elementary here in Choctaw and this is my 6th year at JGI.
I was born in Columbus, Mississippi. My Dad was in the Air Force, so we moved quite a bit. My parents live in Midwest City. My husband, Kevin, is a Chief Master Sergeant in the Air Force. We have two children, Andrew and Andrea. Andrew is a Junior at Choctaw High School. He is involved in National Honor Society and JROTC. He is a gymnast at Bart Conner Gymnastics Academy in Norman. He plans to attend the Air Force Academy and compete in gymnastics for them. Andrea is a Sophomore at Choctaw High School. She is involved in National Honor Society and a member of the Pom Pon Squad. She is a dancer at Karen's Kids Studio of Performing Arts in Midwest City. She plans on attending OU and being on the Pom Pon squad there.
I lived in Germany for 3 years. My son was born in Germany. I have visited many countries while living in Germany. I enjoy collecting coins.
