Mission
Statement:
The
library media center exists to support the curriculum of
the school. Its purposes are to provide
high-quality reading materials for students, encourage
and promote reading for pleasure, provide information
resources for students and teachers, assist students in
becoming responsible users of information, and integrate
instruction in Information Literacy Skills and
technology instruction so that students may be
successful lifelong learners.

Media Center Policies |
|

The Media Center is open daily from 7:45 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
If you are not with a teacher, you must have a pass and sign in at the desk.
-
Books, audio books, and videos
are checked out for two weeks at a time. You may
recheck a book as many times as you need to
unless someone else is waiting for it.
-
Overdue materials are charged late fines. The fine
amount is .10 per day for each overdue item (not including weekends or
holidays). The maximum fine charged for one item is $5.00. Lost or
damaged books must be paid for.

You MUST have a permission form on file to use the Internet at
school. If you come to the library to use the computers during class,
you must sign in at the desk and get permission from the library staff
before using the computers.
-
Printing is available for a charge of .10 cents per page.
Internet research should be done by taking notes or saving to a disc.
-
A copy machine is available for a charge of .10 cents per
page.
-
School supplies such as pens, pencils, paper, folders,
notebooks, and note cards are available in the Student Store
during regular library hours.
