Nicoma Park School District would like to introduce new
resources for our parents through The Parent Institute. The
Parent Institute provides professional, research-based tips and
ideas for school success on responsibility, respect, student
motivation, reading, math, homework, study skills, routines,
discipline and more. . . The resource materials are web based
for your convenience and links will be available on the district
website and the individual school web pages.

Our Veterans Day celebration was one of remembrance and honor.
The staff, students and parents of Westfall Elementary thank all
of our military service men and women. The morning was a special
one. Thank you to our Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts for
posting the colors for us, the CHS JrROTC for doing the flag
folding ceremony, Mrs. Carter for singing the Star Spangled
Banner, and the JrROTC for playing TAPS. There was not a
dry eye in the house. Our preK did an amazing job reciting the
Preamble to the Constitution. Thank you to the staff of Westfall
for helping to make this a day to remember and the many
community partners for helping us honor the men and women of our

Sonic, America’s Drive in, visited LW
Westfall Elementary to surprise a well deserving teacher and
Mrs. Olguin, kindergarten teacher at LW Westfall Elementary, has
been submitting grants for educational equipment to the Sonic
Limeades for Learning Program and the Donors Choose
organization. Today her hard work paid off because she was
awarded $403.00 to purchase the educational equipment for her
you, Sonic for partnering with teachers.
You are helping support the needs of our teachers and
school. Sonic has
donated over 3 million dollars to help teachers fill their
classrooms with needed educational resources.

The Choctaw Nicoma Park Public Schools Foundation awarded Mr.
Maxwell with a $750.00 teacher grant. Mr. Maxwell will use
this grant to purchase a new piano for the music classroom.
Congratulations Mr. Maxwell and thank you to those that support
