We Are |
Choctaw-Nicoma Park Schools provide
instructional services in total or in part of five incorporated municipalities
in Eastern Oklahoma County: Choctaw, Nicoma Park, Midwest City, Harrah, and
Oklahoma City.
Students receive high-quality, well-planned educational experiences within a
contemporary and rich curriculum. Over 300 fully-certified instructional
personnel serve district students. The educational program offered by the
district reflects state and regional accreditation requirements and
proficiencies. In providing the most positive educational experience possible
for our students serious consideration is given to students' academic, social,
emotional, and physical developmental needs.
We encourage parents to participate in their child's education through volunteer
work, parent-teacher conferences and parent training programs. A strong
correlation exists between parental involvement in the educational process and a
child's success in school.
Grades K-12 are accredited by the Oklahoma Department of Education. Gifted and
Talented and Special Education classes are comprehensive and available to
qualified students.
Each Choctaw-Nicoma Park School operates a modern Library Media Center directed
by a full-time Library Media Specialist and a full-time Media Assistant. Each
school offers automated circulation and current technology to provide up to date
materials for students and faculty.
C-NP consistently ranks above the state and national average in ACT and ITBS
scores.
Of C-NP schools' 300 teachers, approximately 30 percent hold a Master's Degree,
or above, and more than 50 percent exceed 15 hours of post-baccalaureate study. |
