Mrs. Hogue-Library Media
Specialist
Mrs. Hogue became the librarian at Choctaw
Elementary in August, 1996. Prior to becoming a librarian she was a music
teacher for 15 years. She taught in Jones for two years and was in Putnam
City for 13 years. Mrs. Hogue has a Bachelor's of Music Education Degree
from Oklahoma Baptist University, a Master's Degree in Music Education from the
University of Oklahoma, and a Master's Degree in Library and Information Studies
from the University of Oklahoma. She is married and has a daughter who
attends the University of Oklahoma.
Mrs. Blair-Library Assistant
Mrs. Blair has been the Library Assistant at
Choctaw Elementary since December, 1985. She worked for two years at
Nicoma Park Intermediate before coming to CE. She currently serves as the
chairperson for the Choctaw-Nicoma Park Schools Johnson O'Malley Indian
Education Program. She is married and has three children, seven
grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Blair is well-known
around the district for her wonderful Indian Tacos and fry bread.

Mission Statement
The library media center exists to support the
curriculum of the school. Its purposes are to provide high-quality reading
materials for students, encourage and promote reading for pleasure, provide
information resources for students and teachers, assist students in becoming
responsible users of information, and integrate instruction in Information
Literacy Skills and technology instruction so that students may be successful
lifelong learners.
