The media center provides up-to-date resources for students to pursue academic challenges through a variety of sources that can be accessed through the automated card catalog.  Students with a Metropolitan County Library Card can use the on-line catalog to reserve books as needed.

Internet is available for students with parent permission.  Internet permission forms are available in the media center.  Using the Internet is a privilege and violation of the Internet Use Policy may result in forfeiture of student Internet users privileges and may be subject to appropriate disciplinary and legal actions.

The media center provides Virtual Library Resources through a research web page for students to access at school and at home.  The Internet sites provide curriculum information that students will use in a variety of classes.  More information is available in the media center that includes the passwords for student access at home.

Books are checked out from the media center for two weeks and may be renewed for an additional two weeks.  Overdue fines are charged at a rate of ten cents ($.10) per school day but once a book is returned the fine does not increase.  The maximum amount for a fine is $5.00.  Students will need to return all books and pay fines before additional books can be checked out.  Students with media center obligations will pick up grades in the Counselor’s Office.
