Choctaw-Nicoma Park is a Great
Expectations District. Virtually all elementary
teachers and a majority of secondary teachers have
attended Great Expectations training. Two elementary
schools, Westfall Elementary and Indian Meridian
Elementary, have achieved Model School Status.
Great Expectations is an extensive professional development program that helps teachers and administrators acquire skills to help them create a learning climate that sets high expectations for students and demands a climate of mutual respect. Great Expectations draws from many learning theories and practices and is grounded in the belief that all students can learn.
