Season’s Greetings! Welcome to December, a month filled with exciting events and the joy of giving. We start off the month with Santa Pictures on the 5th of December. This is a great opportunity for those of you who would like a great winter picture. The pictures are only $5.00 for a 5x7 (cash only). Secondly, we will be having the school bond election on the 9th of December. Thirdly, the third grade will be hosting a Tuesday Tech night at 6:15pm and then do a performance for all that want to attend. Finally, we will have our winter parties on the 19th of December at 2pm.
Safety Note: Speed bumps have been installed to help slow traffic in front of NPI and NPJH to make things safer for the children. We have noticed that many students are being dropped off and picked up during the day. I know many like to drop your children off at the curb closest to the front door; however, this causes the traffic to back up on the main road and is a safety concern. It is very important that your child be dropped off in the car lane and not at the roadside. A child attempting to cross the street presents a very hazardous situation with all the morning and afternoon traffic. It is also very important that while in the loading area you pull completely forward before dropping off your child. I know that this may take a few extra minutes, but it will help provide a safer environment for all.
As this season of giving approaches, keep in mind that there are many gifts which can be given that do not require being purchased or wrapped. The gifts of time, love, forgiveness, patience, and honesty are just a few that will touch lives and last much longer than the holiday. I hope that your month of December will be merry and bright!
