Our Golden Rule Award winners for the month of February were as follows:  Katie Pollard – 3^rd grade, Leah Blackwell – 4^th grade, and Calista Walker – 5^th grade.  Our character words for the month of March are Skill and Team Spirit.

     Third grade students have finished their “All About Me” collage.  Fourth and fifth grade students participated in a variety of activities that fostered honesty and honest behavior this past month.  We discussed what it meant to be an honest person and how that would affect one’s reputation.

     Students in grades third through fifth will engage in activities for career exploration during the month of March.  Fifth grade students will participate in an activity entitled “PayDay” while third and fourth grade students will explore career clusters as well as the world of work.  It is important for our students to understand the link between school and the work force. Identifying those same qualities that makes you a successful student will enable you to become successful in the job force.  This will be an exciting time for students to recognize the skills and abilities they possess and what career field that might represent.
