My name is Shannon Pritchard.  I am a reading specialist at Westfall Elementary. I have been at Westfall for more than 24 years. Prior to teaching at Westfall, I taught at Nicoma Park Junior High as well as Choctaw High School, teaching grades 7^th –12^th with subjects ranging from Oklahoma History, U.S. History, Geography, English  and Psychology.  I received my Bachelors Degree in Education at the University of Oklahoma.  I continued my education at U.C.O where I earned a Masters Degree in Reading, and became state certified as a Reading Specialist, Grades K-12.  I also earned my Masters Degree in Guidance and Counseling.  Prior to teaching in the Choctaw School District, I was a swimming instructor at Rose State College.  I also worked in the Social Sciences Department as well as Student Development Center as a Guidance Counselor.  I have taught in one capacity or another,  a wide variety of age levels expanding from Pre-K through Senior Citizens. I love teaching and wouldn’t trade this line of work for anything.  I am very proud to be called a TEACHER!!
