Library Curriculum
Students cover the PASS Skills for Information Literacy which includes:
accessing information effectively and efficiently, using information
accurately and creatively and understanding different genres to satisfy
personal interests.

I am the new Library Media Specialist and I have taught for almost 10 years in an Elementary Media Center. I graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a Masters in Instructional Technology. Then later, I graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Masters in Library Science. I love to read and work in my garden.
I feel blessed to be able to work with your students and share my love of reading. I hope this year the students and I can discover new facts, share great books, and present thoughtful and interesting research to other classes. We are extremely fortunate to have a new reading room. I have included pictures to show the evolution. The reading room will be used for story time, reading time, and as a fun place to relax. Jean Fairbrother is our Library Media Assistant. She is a wonderful lady who works hard and is very helpful to our children. |
