CNP Bond Issue 2022

High School: Manhattan:  Nichiha (Paneling) is being installed on the north side of the school. The driveway and parking area on the North side should be started this week. The band building dirt pad is completed. We do have a water main that has to be relocated underneath the band pad.  The columns in front of the school are being bricked. The windows have been installed around the office area.

Bill Jensen Field: Quad Construction:  We have approved the new plans for the concession and the remodel of the restrooms.

CHS – The nichiha panels on hand have been installed. There are more to be delivered, but they are back ordered. This shouldn’t slow the project as work inside continues.

Band Room Addition – The rafters, decking, and foundation have all been installed. The crew is working on the metal studs for framing the building.

AFJROTC/Tennis Locker Rooms – The rafters, decking, and foundation have all been installed. Work continues with demoing of interior walls for the renovation.

The windows continue to be installed.  Band Building roof and rafters have been installed. Metal studs are being installed on the walls.   Concrete has been poured on the ROTC / Tennis expansion. Received the permit for the new High School Marquee. Met with CWA and Todd Goolsby to review the plans for the Practice Gym and Museum.

Bill Jensen Field: Quad Construction:  Fencing has been put in place for the new concession area.  Demo has started with concrete removal and will be working on the dirt pad this week.

CNP West: AC Owen:   Waiting on correspondence with land owners. The City of MWC sent out an email this morning; stating that on July 23, 2024 council meeting that the moratorium could be lifted.

CNP West – The superintendent is on the job. He has met with each of the surrounding neighbors to let them know what was going on. A superintendent trailer will be delivered next week as well as delivery of earth moving equipment. AC Owen has put up construction signs, and the property has been mowed.

CNP West: AC Owen:   Surveyed on Friday, August 30, 2024. Heavy Equipment was moved in today. Construction to begin the middle of September.

Awaiting final pay

GME:  Ross Group:  Footings have been poured on the west and north side. Will continue this week.

GME – The foam walls with rebar inside continue to go up. These will make the mold the concrete is poured into in order to make the tornado shelter.

GME:  Ross Group: Concrete has been poured on the saferoom area. ICF has been installed on the west half of the saferoom.  (This is the White Lego Blocks for the Safe Room) All roofing and doorways have been delivered. The front of the building will be poured Tuesday of this week.  They are working on the elevator shaft. Ross construction group built a berm and added sod and replace the damaged fence on the south side and added riff raff to help with drainage.

Multipurpose Building: Quad Construction: Dirt work has started.  The removal of the dirt has been relocated to the North side of the tennis courts to help with future courts

Indoor Multipurpose Facility – Still doing dirt work. The blocks for the retaining wall have been delivered.

Multipurpose Building: Quad Construction: Dirt work continues.

Softball Locker Room:  Quad Construction: Finishing up restrooms and shower installation. ADA sidewalk will be finished on Thursday. Sod installed Friday. Fencing will start on Monday

Baseball Locker Room: Quad Construction: Inside Painting starting. Restrooms and shower instillation. Fencing will start Monday.

Softball / Baseball Locker Room:  Quad Construction:  Waiting on the Letters above the gate entrance ‘YELLOWJACKETS”. 

McCharen Center: Pope: Completed 4/ 29/2024

McCharen Center: Pope:   New railing has been installed and completed.

Choctaw Elementary:  Waiting on demo permit from the city.

CE – The demo was finalized last week. They are having to remove current soil down to bedrock levels and then bring in new stable soil before doing final work for the pad.

Choctaw Elementary: Goldsby: Demo of the building has been completed. Dirt work has started with removal of dirt to bring in select fill for the foundation of the saferoom.
