CHS Parents/Guardians,

The CHS Graduation Ceremony for the Class of 2025 will be held on Jensen Field on the campus of CHS. This allows us a much larger seating capacity for those wishing to attend.

Hosting a graduation ceremony outdoors in the month of May could present some potential challenges; therefore, guidelines have been put in place in case weather conditions make it impossible for the event to be held at Jensen Field.

The CHS Calendar has conflicts with the OSSAA Calendar on both the Monday and Tuesday of the last week of school. In order to avoid all conflicts and force students to have to choose between the graduation ceremony and a state tournament final, the Graduation Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, May 14^th at 7:00 PM.

The following protocols will be used for the ceremony:

1. CHS will host graduation on Jensen Field this year on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at 7:00 PM.
2. If it is canceled due to weather it will be pushed to Thursday, May 15, 2025 at 7:00 PM.
3. If it is canceled due to weather on May 15^th, the ceremony will be split into two ceremonies determined by last name and hosted inside the McCharen Center that evening, Thursday, May 15^th. 
   1. Last Names A- K would have a ceremony from 6:00 – 7:00 PM
   2. Last Names L – Z would have a ceremony from 8:00 – 9:00 PM

The determination to move the ceremony inside the McCharen Center on Thursday, May 15^th will have to be determined by 2:00 PM to allow time for proper preparations.

Again, the intent is to have the graduation ceremony on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 on Jensen Field. This letter is to provide the protocols that will be followed should weather disrupt the event. We look forward to a wonderful graduation ceremony where everyone is able to celebrate the successes of our outstanding 2025 graduates.
